Producer // Doodler

About

Hey there, I'm Nora.

I am an East Coast native, originally from rural Massachusetts and currently living in Los Angeles, California. Since graduating from Colby College in 2011 with a double major in French and Architecture, I have done nothing relating to either of those fields. Instead, I chose to pursue a career in television production.

Professionally, I produce unscripted television for shows large (Survivor, The Bachelor, Top Chef) and small (too many to list - check out my “work” section for the nitty gritty details). As anyone in the industry knows, the title of “television producer” is amorphous. Though my role changes with every job, fundamentally, I only ever have one objective: to tell stories.

When I’m not working, I require a creative outlet to successfully function. I enjoy painting poorly, cooking feverishly, and dabbling in graphic design.

To give you a better sense of who I am, here is a list of a few things that I enjoy:

• British crime dramas – the thicker the accent, the better the series (I’m talking about you, Happy Valley).

• Wearing costumes to non-costume parties – I invested in a ghillie suit for Halloween one year and never looked back.

• The parts of As Seen On TV ads where people do things badly – i.e. someone who literally cannot figure out how to use scissors like a normal human and therefore needs something called EZ-CHOPS (patent pending).

Though it isn’t customary to discuss “negative” things on a platform like this, I am a firm believer that you learn more about a person by their dislikes than by their likes. So here are a couple of my gripes:

• I believe there is an extra circle of Hell reserved for people who stand so close to you in line that if we all had cat whiskers, they would be touching.

• If someone gets into an elevator without letting people off first, I will automatically assume they are a terrible human.

Hope you enjoyed learning about me!
